1. More Magnesium. More Performance.
One of our biggest goals was increasing the concentration of magnesium while maintaining a formula that still feels beautiful on the skin.
Topical magnesium has become increasingly popular because of its role in supporting hundreds of normal biochemical processes throughout the body, including muscle function, nervous system regulation, and energy production.
But anyone who has tried many magnesium products knows the tradeoff.
The higher the magnesium concentration, the more likely the product is to sting, itch, or leave behind an unpleasant residue.
We refused to accept that compromise.
After extensive reformulation, we created a richer, more elegant, barrier-first body butter that allows for a higher concentration of magnesium while remaining comfortable enough for daily use.
SOURCE does not have a sticky finish, gritty texture, sting, or anything that resembles a harsh experience. It is a luxurious body butter designed to become part of your nightly ritual that you're going to, quite frankly, become obsessed with.
2. Better Ingredients. Better Feel.
The updated super clean and effective formula features a carefully balanced combination of shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, and humectants that leave skin feeling deeply nourished long after application. It's also vegan, making it Leaping Bunny approved and finally able to carry the ETHYST® name.
Rather than simply acting as a delivery vehicle for magnesium, the formula now actively supports the skin barrier, which holds true to the same ETHYST® philosophy that guides every product we create.
Because when it comes to something like a magnesium topical, healthy skin isn't separate from wellness; it's part of it.
3. Elevated Inside and Out
You'll also notice that SOURCE has a completely new look.
We transitioned to premium matte black glass packaging that better reflects the quality of what's inside while creating a more elevated experience every time you reach for it.
It's also sealed with a pressure seal and comes with a child-resistant cap for better safety and sealing, and introduces our new gold ETHYST® logo.
We believe rituals are built from small details like the weight of the jar, the experience and feel of the butter, and the little moments you take to slow down long enough to care for yourself.

One of the most common requests we've received over the years has been simple:
