This week, ETHYST® was featured on WWLP 22News after our product ETHYST® Daily Ritual was named a finalist in the Clean Beauty Awards presented by CertClean.
The segment highlighted the story behind ETHYST and the philosophy that guided its creation: skincare should support the biology of the skin, not fight against it.
As a licensed esthetician and cosmetic formulator, Amber created ETHYST after seeing how confusing the skincare industry had become for consumers. The term clean beauty is widely used, but largely unregulated. That lack of clarity has allowed marketing language to outpace meaningful ingredient standards.
ETHYST was built to change that.
Every formula is developed under what we call the Champagne Standard™, an ingredient exclusion list of more than 3,200 substances paired with a barrier-first, microbiome-conscious formulation approach.
Instead of focusing on harsh treatments or aggressive exfoliation, ETHYST formulas are designed to strengthen the skin barrier — the system responsible for hydration, inflammation regulation, and long-term skin resilience.
Research increasingly shows that maintaining a healthy skin barrier is one of the most important factors in preserving skin health over time.
The product recognized in the Clean Beauty Awards, ETHYST® Daily Ritual, reflects this philosophy. The formula was designed to support the skin microbiome while reinforcing the skin’s natural defense system.
Being featured by 22News was especially meaningful because ETHYST was built locally, here in Western Massachusetts. Creating a science-driven skincare brand from the ground up and seeing it receive national recognition is incredibly validating.
This moment represents more than a single product or award. It reflects a growing demand from consumers for transparency, ingredient integrity, and skincare that truly supports long-term skin health.
